So I posted a while back about this issue, was told to try and get a new cooler. So I have and have tried 3 different coolers in total. The problem is when I am playing a game the temps can go uncomfortably high to upwards of 75c+. So the question now is whether my next course of action would be to replace motherboard or cpu? Could the motherboard have incorrect sensors or the CPU simply runs a hot which would be more likely?

Thanks for any insight.

Stock clocks, I have CPU-Z and don't see temps I might be blind though. and Yes I used arctic silver and pre-applied thermal paste from the corsair one.

Do you know what your idle temps are? What's your ambient/room temperature?

I have had it in two different spots in what I would consider pretty average spots for a computer to be. Its right next to my desk on hard wood floors.

Open space is good, but some cases lack ventilation and some people overlook that, you could use an industrial fan but it wont help if you case is under ventilated.

I totally understand that, my case is a Phanteks Enthoo Luxe so it should have enough airflow assuming it gets enough air from the exterior reasonably well. Which I feel shouldn't be much of a problem. Good suggestion though I totally forgot to consider that.

Try doing a live boot from a linux system usb(not install or format, just live disk) or a virus scan, some firmware and malware attacks will mess with you config files and cause over heating or prevent cooling.
