The 980Ti will still be Highend when new Cards come out, which can take a long time. You need a Badass Card now? Go for it.

i dont really "need" a badass card right now.. my 970 will last a while so im going to wait for polaris and pascal

Speculation says that desktop Polaris cards will be released this Summer, but mobile chips and possibly lower end desktop chips might ship as early as April. Pascal is another story, could possibly be Fall but most people assume it will be late 2016 and early 2017. I'm hoping AMD has something big up their sleeve as for the first time in a long time they are releasing cards before Nvidia and even said they 'intend to hurt' them this time around, which is super awesome.

Ya. Safe Money to the Moment your Card isnt good enough anymore and than you buy the fastes Card possible and you will be good for the next Years.

For 800$ you will get a very good aftermarked Card. Maybe less. I payed 800€ for my Card, but only because i bought it on Release Day . Now it only cost 750€ :P

Mans when the next cards come out go Sli for Cheeper and Ul have more gpu power than the new Titan for sure
