Hello! Currently searching for a excellent monitor and I am having a hard time trying to figure out what is the best display panel? I am accustomed to IPS panels but I want to know if there is anything better. My PC is used for gaming at max settings on most games and I want the display that will complement the graphical power of my GPU's. If someone can help me with what display panel will give the visual experience when gaming. Also, if you have any recommendations for a monitor with that panel it would be very helpful! Thanks! :)

P.S. My budget is open for any monitor recommendation. I will also be playing games like Fallout 4, Witcher 3, etc.

IPS is pretty much the best you can do on a gaming monitor, I think. I would go for a 144hz IPS monitor if your rig can handle it and your wallet can take it.

Tip to those that are new on LTT forum- quote a post so that the person you are quoting gets a notification, otherwise they'll have no idea that you did. You can also use a tag such as @Ryoutarou97 (replace my username with anyone's. You should get a dropdown after you type the "@")to send a notification, but quoting is preferable.

Feel free to PM me about absolutely anything be it tech, math, literature, etc. I'll try my best to help. I'm currently looking for a cheap used build for around $25 to set up as a home server if anyone is selling.

If you are a native speaker please use proper English if you can. Punctuation, capitalization, and spelling are as important to making your message readable as proper night theme formatting is.

My build is fully operational, but won't be posted until after I get a GPU in it and the case arted up.

Hello! I have to ask one more question then because I need to make sure I go with what will suit me. Now, I am not one to use a TV for PC gaming but if I am looking at a IPS monitor that is also the same price as a LG OLED TV which would be the better option?

Well, it depends. OLED trumps IPS, but the IPS is probably better in other respects. How do sizes and resolutions compare?

Well, I am looking at either a 55 inch Curve OLED 1080p monitor vs a 27 inch IPS 1440p 144hz monitor

1440 if your computer can run games at that resolution. It wins on resolution and refresh rate. OLED is nice but not worth going 1080 for it, even if it is curved.

Ok, Thanks! I know how great IPS and I was lucky with my first one having no IPS glow but I am just worried about buying a second and dealing with constantly RMAing for one with no IPS glow.

The way I see it is that I would rather wait a few weeks even if I had to RMA it than use the other monitor. Definately would go IPS here, though.
