Get a cheaper CPU, like the i5 6600k

Get a cheaper motherboard, any z170 one will do.

Get a better PSU for sure, like the RM850, HX750i, etc.

Maybe an SSD?

The only thing you can future proof is your case, PCi-e SSDs aren't worth it in the slightest, unless you want USB 3.1 the Xeon 1231v3 is about the best CPU for the money right now, if you need CPU performance you go X99, not skylake, especially given how close they cost

and this is the same performance as far as 60hz gaming goes, at under 900 pounds, with a larger SSD

buy a nice 4K Free-sync IPS display and call it a day, the display is 370 pounds, and you'll never have to buy another display again

X99 build, much better buy over the 6700K if you want CPU performance

The M.2(M) drive is not going to provide enough of a performance boost in a mostly gaming rig to justify the cost. But if you really want higher speed storage get the Samsung 950 Pro model - adds about £100 to this build.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.
