I think that your not supposed to post dream builds here.... they probably belong more in like off topic or something.

Make sure to quote me or tag me when responding to me, or I might not know you replied! Examples:

Do this:

Quote

And make sure you do it by hitting the quote button at the bottom left of my post, and not the one inside the editor!

Or this:

@DocSwag

Buy whatever product is best for you, not what product is "best" for the market.

Interested in computer architecture? Still in middle or high school? P.M. me!

I love computer hardware and feel free to ask me anything about that (or phones). I especially like SSDs. But please do not ask me anything about Networking, programming, command line stuff, or any relatively hard software stuff. I know next to nothing about that.

For $5000 I would expect to see X99, probably even a 5690X

Note that 5k is the cost of everything, including the pheripherals. The tower itself is about 2500$

I know, still would prefer to spend less in some pheripherals to get some 6-8 core.

There's no point in spending $500 on speakers and then another $500 on speakers in my opinion anyway lol

bro, its a fictional build. just go all out

Heh, why not go on Amazon and just set sorting from most expensive, so that I can get 1000$ motherboards, 2000$ CPUs etc. Its a dream build after all!

There's no point in making dream builds if they are pretty much impossible to reach unless you win in a lottery or something

literally search dream build. There are a lot of topics. By the way, there's a really good build called the Octane Box or something on PCPP where a guy actually did it and the work he did is really good.

Tip to those that are new on LTT forum- quote a post so that the person you are quoting gets a notification, otherwise they'll have no idea that you did. You can also use a tag such as @Ryoutarou97 (replace my username with anyone's. You should get a dropdown after you type the "@")to send a notification, but quoting is preferable.

Feel free to PM me about absolutely anything be it tech, math, literature, etc. I'll try my best to help. I'm currently looking for a cheap used build for around $25 to set up as a home server if anyone is selling.

If you are a native speaker please use proper English if you can. Punctuation, capitalization, and spelling are as important to making your message readable as proper night theme formatting is.

My build is fully operational, but won't be posted until after I get a GPU in it and the case arted up.

I found it: https://pcpartpicker.com/b/7B6XsY

This build costs 5K, Octane Box 3 costs 22K. As I said, you either win a lottery or save up 5 freakin' years for it. Not to mention I don't need THAT much power. I feel like anything above 10K is just for bragging rights or for BitCoin

PCPartPicker part list: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/VCFQTW
...

You might consider the Asus Z170-Deluxe motherboard. Not as flashy, but fully featured and includes dual band a/b/g/n/ac WiFi and Bluetooth.

The Nzxt Kraken X61 has better cooling performance and lower noise levels.

G.Skill has 2x8GB DDR4-3000 CL 14 memory kits which are better performing than the Dominators at roughly the same price. I believe the black Ripjaws V would look good.

The Seagate 2TB listed has the worst reputation of any 2TB hdd. Even Seagate fans try to avoid it.

There are numerous less expensive, equally good psu available. Although I might be tempted to go with a slightly larger unit if I anticipated heavy gpu and cpu overclocking.

I would not bother with an addon sound card. The motherboard sound sub-system looks to be quite good.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.
