I've noticed my fans speeding up somewhat and on downloading Speedfan to check temperatures, it read 60-61 on idle or on minimal use (chrome/youtube) and 66-71 while under a heavier load (game running). Just wanted to know if these temperature are normal or if I should readjust my fans for better cooling.

You should only be concerned if it goes to 80+ degrees. Otherwise, you are fine.

It's fine. 980 Tis when they are not under a heavy load are practically passively cooled, and when they do get a heavier load, their fans kick on.

Check out my guide on how to scan cover art here!

If you are like me, and want to run your card cooler, you should be able to set a custom fan curve in a utility like MSI Afterburner to lower the temp. I don't know what is average for that specific card, but it does sound a bit higher than typical (although as others have mentioned, well within safe operating zone).

Awesome! Thank you. Only build it a few months ago and can't help worry over it. :)

Might just look into doing this as I would like to keep it quieter. Thanks for the tip.
