Corsiar Vengence Pro

Go to solution Solved by Frix,

If its an APU you are using then speed of the ram makes a huge difference.

So guys at the moment i currently have 4gb Crucial Ram @1333Mhz and i am going for an upgrade straight to 16Gbs @1866Mhz (the max my board can handle) and i think the max speed my FM2 APU A75 Chipset Motherboard can handle, and some of you may say its an overkill or not but what do you guys think of this upgrade that im going to get?

Thanks

DONT GET 16GB. Go for faster mhz with 8gb. Unless you have a graphics card then go for 16 or 8gb of 1600.

Never, under any circumstance, listen to someone that says don't get X amount of ram. Memory is a personal thing that varies person to person. It all boils down to is if you need 16GB of ram. If you feel you do, go for it. When I was on 8GB of ram, it was painful to use my computer with what I do. Constant complaints from Windows about low memory. When I upgraded to 16gb of Mushkin Redline, everything felt right. If you don't feel you need 16GB, 8GB might be for you.

Agreed. Like I need around 32Gb of RAM but for gaming I only need 6Gb

More ram can be very useful for games, like using it as storage with RAMdisk.

Even though the max is 1866 it can still access faster. For gaming your performance will be better with faster mhz ram.
