I have the same card. Whenever I fold with Folding@Home or games that are being rendered at a higher fps due to their outdated engine (in games like CS:GO, for example) the coil whine is absolutely infuriating. I tried to contact EVGA support but they responded with the usual "It's normal" bullcrap. I only really notice it when it's folding when I have my side panel off as I have the Define S with sound-dampening foam. I really does make a difference!

I say jiggly-bytes when I see "GB".

It goes down better than you would expect.

haha I just accepted it, I'm running 2x EVGA SC 970 GTX and its fun, but not as bad as that video

Try putting V-sync on, this can help.

 

Or over/underclocking the card, as it can change the pitch of the whine to something more bearable to you.
