Having trouble with Windows install...

I have just cloned a drive (Including the boot sectors, it worked when I did a similar thing with my gaming rig) to increase the storage (500GB to 1TB), and now, it posts, and goes to boot windows, but throws an error (About the drive being inaccessible, not a BSOD). I have already used the drive from a different computer after I cloned it, but this is the first time I have tested the new drive in the new PC. Any specs can be posted if required.

Main Gaming Rig:

Spoiler

Core i7-4770, Cryorig M9i Cooler, ASUS B85M GAMER, 8GB HyperX Fury Red 2x4GB 1866MHz, KFA2 GTX 970 Infin8 Black Edition "4GB", 1TB Seagate SSHD, 256GB Crucial m4 SSD, 60GB Corsair SSD for Kerbal and game servers, Thermaltake Core V21 Case, EVGA SuperNOVA 650W G2.

Secondary PC:

Spoiler

i5-2500k OCed, Raijintek Themis, Intel Z77GA-70K, 8GB HyperX Genesis in grey, GTX 750 Ti, Gamemax Falcon case.

go to bios, and check if the drive shows up there. then make sure you are booting to the correct drive(this may sound stupid, the boot order, but having just installed ssd, i know that stupid things work. for example i needed to enable hotfix in order for my os to recognize my ssd). also if all of your hardware works, then the issue must be software

1. It is the only drive in the system

2. How would I fix the software issue? I don't have a windows ISO disk.

don't you have an another computer? if so, you can just make a windows installation disc/usb. how far does it go into windows booting? or do you just see a black screen saying "cant accest the drive or some bullshit like that" when turning your computer on?.

also, have you tried using different sata ports(yes that can work), different sata cable?

Will try ports now. I don't have another PC running windows at this location.

doesn't have to be running windows. any computer which can access internet. pretty much if its linux, osx, or windows it will be able to make bootable windows disc/usb. you can download windows media creation tool(its made by microsoft, yeah go figure lol) by googling windows media creation tool, or from this link if it works: http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=691209

You need a valid windows liscence key to download the ISO. If the key is in use, it doesn't work.

you download the windows media creation tool, and you create a installation media for another computer. no need for license keys. and don't worry about the "key in use" factor, iv been there before, and calling microsoft ultimately fixes all of your windows issues(or at least that one). optionally you can, after installing windows 10, install windows 7 and use your key to validate it, and then upgrade to windows 10 when your windows is activated

Since windows 10, you can't get a windows 7 ISO without entering the product key.

what? well i was able to do it like 3 days ago.

but, if you are trying to download iso or some shit like that, then don't. download the goddamn "windows media creation tool" , launch that, click create media for another pc and then let it do the rest. nowhere does it ask for product key if you do it like that. windows media creation tool, use that, fuck the ISO file.

edit: if you specifically want win7 in your computer... well you might be out of luck. they don't want you using windows 7 anymore. but as i said: use windows media creation tool to make installing usb stick and use that to install windows

yes i know. if you don't have a product key(or in your case, it doesn't work because it is in use), you can try contacting microsoft about your problem, i did this once with my product key problem. if u wont do that, and you can't get windows 7 iso(yeah, u cant, i have one tho, in usb, i wonder if there is a way i can send it to you(the software)), you are out of luck. microsoft doesn't really want you to get win7. thats why they are forcing everyone to win10.

so contact microsoft(call them, obviously), if they wont help you then go for windows 10.

Microsoft are useless (They hung up on me), and the person I am doing this for refuses to use Windows 10...
