so thinking with the new amd cards coming out and hopefully pushing the prices down abit more for the older cards , what would performance be on crossfire 7870 or 7950 , because i was going to get a 7970 but you can get two 7870 for just abit more than one 7970. But also hopefully with the 9000 series pushing the prices down even more i may be able to get two 7950s for around 300 pounds or so ? but what do yo guys think plus sorry for the really badly worded question

two 7870s for crossfire. But with the price of the 7950s I would go with two 7950s.

Wait for the 9XXX® @CoolBeans series because one card would have less power consumption and heat output

i am going to wait anyway as hopefully that will push prices down even more , but i kinda like the thought of having two cards as it looks cool , but also im not paying for the electricity as i am on 15

Crossfire 7870's don't take that much power.

so do you think that getting two 7950 after the release of the 9000 series it may be a good idea ?

If you're wanting to play next-gen games then you'd be better off getting the HD 7970 http://amzn.to/17UzA5h or waiting for the 9xxx series.

If they get any cheaper and the drivers improve as much as I think they will, yes.  Their value will be awesome.

It won't really do that too much unless you buy used. But more expansion will be capable afterwards because more way crossfire. If that made sense....
