Was going through some parts for an amd build an was wondering what was a intel 4th gen ready psu. Is it only compatible with intel 4th gen cpu's. It is a good deal and i want it for my pc build but it says intel ready does that mean it won't work for my amd build. Really don't know much about cpu's.

Here is a link to the psu:

Lol sounds like some marketing bs to me. A PSU is a PSU.

actually there is some validity over haswell ready PSUs. Haswell CPUs enter very low-power states that some older PSUs are not designed for, but older PSUs will still work anyways, it's just that your CPU will never enter a low-power state (if you're on a desktop who cares about power?!xD)

would this effect the performance of my amd pc or should i just get a normal power supply 80+bronze or normal instead for performance

I disagree. Johnnyguru (best PSU reviewer out there) gave this PSU a good review:

He gave it a stellar review based on value, which I hate as do most of us here. Thus, by his standard, a Seasonic M12 is as good as that EVGA. The Seasonic is miles better but because performance and build quality for the dollar is off you get a skewed idea of what's up.

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.
