i found a gtx 970 for about a hundred pounds while scouring the internet, the problem is, its too far away for me to go and meet the person.  i have seena video of it running furmark.  I dont hve the money to waste but the person wants it in an amazon gift card.  Im not sure if i want to do this so what do people on here think?

I wouldn't pay for second hand hardware unless I can see it running. The problem with paying in gift cards is there's no way to dispute the purchase, but with private purchases you can't really dispute it anyway so it's your risk. Better to at least go through eBay to buy used online so that there is some system you can go through to report a bad product. Otherwise, I would stick to face to face transactions. It's just safer for stuff that expensive, you can see it running before you buy.

say paypal only, it you use the amazon giftcard you cant get your money back, hes 99.99% a scammer.

go on ebay and go on buy now lowest to highest that's what I did for my r9 290.
