I have noticed something weird with my laptop. Looking for any ideas that might cause this.

Main issue-

Spoiler

When running something like minecraft in windowed mode I will see a performance baseline of 90-120 fps while in windowed mode  ( Not full screen windowed mode ). As soon as change to full screen the fps drops from standard to 25-30.

It is Minecraft itself.

Java it was never meant to run games like minecraft. Maybe the java runtime is doing strange things Minecraft now has its own self contained runtime for PCs maybe the GPU switch isn't picking up on this.

Thank you Roawoao for the sauce. I'll look into that.

No problem from what I gather online Minecraft at the same resolution should run slightly faster in full screen. There is also an "alternate" version that still uses your installed runtime not sure what that might do. If that doesn't do anything maybe windows desktop composition needs to be set to basic or something but in full screen the game should have exclusive access and be slightly faster at the same resolution.

Yeah I find it odd that it runs worse in full screen. The only thing i can find on it is with changes in resolution. But in my case there seems to be some limiter involved cause with the frame drop im also not pushing the system as i would be in windowed.
