So long story short I was updating the bios on my mother board. Walk away to grab a soda, and by the time I get back with my delicous beverage the screens as black as my soul, and my fans are ramping up every few seconds, which I assume is the system constantly rebooting

As far as troubleshooting goes I've tried turning it off and back on, leaving it off and unplugged for a little over 20 minutes, moving the ram, using only one stick of ram, multiple gpus, took out the cmos, and wept many manly tears. The only things I haven't taken out or tried changing are the cpu and the mother board.

Specs are

Motherboard: MSI 970-G43

RAM: x2 Corsair Vengence 8gb

Gpu: msi r9 285

Cpu: amd fx 8320 8 core

Why did you update your BIOS? That's likely what is causing the problems. A BIOS that did not update properly.

I used MSI live update, everything seemed correct, the auto update found everything and began updating, (it was the only thing i was running at the time.) update was because I just reinstalled windows and figured might aswell update the board aswell.

I figure windows crashed while i was about halfway between PC and Mountain dew. Leaving the update about half finished.

Regardless, the BIOS update didn't apply properly.
