Normally a .pptx file opens in Powerpoint and it's OK. However, is it possible to do an exception and open certain file (for example Word.pptx) in Word automatically, yet keeping that .pptx normally opens in Powerpoint? (I know there is no point in opening .pptx file in word but this is just an example.)

Windows generalizes it to "Always use this program to open this type of file" so sadly no.

maybe some program?

EDIT: What I really need it for is macro so if it's possible through command line it's still fine

it may be possible with the command line if you specify the program ie notepad.exe example.pptx although it depends on the application
