At 13 I was mowing lawns and doing yard work to save up and buy a geforce 4 ti 4600 back in 2002

Think about it. 

 

Its a seat that you will be sitting in for 8+ hours a day if your job involves it, or you enjoy gaming or the likes.

 

The more costly, the more comfortable (most probably), thus the better your computer experience.

At 13 i delivered Newspapers, when i turned 16 i started working in retail (9-12 hours a week) 

13-16 about 120€/month + 30€ pocket money, 16-18 ~350€/month + 50€ pocket money, and because you have no bills to pay as a student it is quite a lot of money. 

 

I never had any money problems as a student, you just have to learn how to handle it and that you have to work for it.
