My build is

i5 4690k (cooled with a hyper x 212 evo)

msi z97 gaming 7

2 x 4 gb corsair ballistix

500 gb crucial ssd

msi gtx 980 x 2 (on sli, yea i know... its fuckin overkill)

Asus PCE-AC68 IEEE 802.11ac (wireless card)

When ever I stream i loose half the frames I get. I have tried to use wired internet but that didn't help. I have friends who stream and their computers preform much better than mine when streaming.

What can I do to my build to give me better frames when streaming?

Exactly how many frames do you get?

Getting half frames is pretty much normal during recording or streaming.

If you're using OBS, press help and Upload Current Log File. Comment the link here.

What are you using for streaming? The software might be using too much power from you CPU.

You can use something like OBS with Quicksync to offload the encoding to the CPU's iGPU or use Shadowplay or OBS with NVENC to offload it to the 980's H.264 encoder.
