R9 380 which one?

Hi, i'm looking for a new GPU and i found for the same price the strix r9 380 2gb and the sapphire nitro 4gb r9 380. The strix one seems to have better features(0 DB fan mode and better cooler) and i read that the sapphire runs very hot and at 1080p i don't think that 2gb more of vram would make any difference. Which one would you suggest? (There is also a gtx960 but i think that the r9 is better)

Definitely the Sapphire one. I don't where you read about it being hotter because that's absolute bullshit. In fact, the STRIX is probably one of the hottest AMD cards due to its very lacklustre cooler, while Sapphire's cooler is one of the coolest (if not the coolest).

 

4GB of VRAM is quite a big difference in comparison to 2GB. I strongly urge you to get it.

4GB is HUUGE difference. btw if i were you I would go with a MSI one because the twin frozer works really well)'

I'm very satisfied with my 380(X) Nitro from Sapphire. You won't regret that purchase, although I wanted a beefier card
