Nexus 6p?

I currently have a slightly broken iPhone 6 and I'm hoping to upgrade to a Nexus 6p. I've never used an android phone before (don't beat me up too bad) and I'm just wondering if there's anything I should know before upgrading. I'm asking about the Nexus in particular but also about android in general. (I know that the security is sometimes a little questionable.) Any help would be appreciated! Thank you!

The Nexus 6p is a very very good phone, go for it!

Had mine for about 2 months and dont regret a thing! Amazing battery life (should look into the doze feature), great camera, fingerprint sensor youll actually use, and dont know what youve heard about security but these phones are actually one of the most secure, especially with settings to enable and disable any app's permissions on what they can see ect, they even make you put your phone pin in to even start android itself

Beautifully designed, its very big but I dont mind it at all coming from the samsung note range.

with the newer versions of android, there isnt really anything you need to know, per-se... It will take a bit of getting used to if you havent used it before (some of the ui is a bit clunk in the name of fancy animations), but it is much better than the old days.

Also if you are someone like me, you will find great use out of the file system in android, and the ability to copy over songs without needing anything like itunes.

I just moved from a Nexus 4 to the Nexus 6P and couldn't be happier. Only gripe is that the phone is very slippery - so I'm probably going to get a case or skin.

As far as Android, I recommend looking into alternative launchers, such as Nova Launcher for managing your home screens. It offers a lot of customization.
