Hello was wondering what the most optimal res is if my GPU cant handle 1920x1080 since its really choppy on a game like for example far cry 3 i guess its becuse its a newer game than what i usually play. and another question those the settings on the details on the game effect the overall recording so if i have high on all detail settings does that mean that it can lead to lag? sorri for bein scrib and i use OBS i watched barnacules guide on how to use obs so i have some idea of OBS

did you overclock the card.

its a good way to squeeze out some extra life

and what would the budget be

If you think all console gamers are "console peasants" then you dont belong to the pc master race

but the fan boys on the other hand...

i dont really know tbh but you can put up some samples if you want since im not sure how much you need to spend for a gpu especailly when im gonna stream and record but it might be some light recroding and streaming

there are lots of guides on youtube

this is a great video and will show you everything you need.

just keep an eye on your temps and remember that not every card will overclock the same.

and you will not get same clocks he gets he is using titans and you are using 7870 two very different cards but the process is the same

the 390 is a great card lots of vram. i will play anything at 1080p but the card is designed 1440 or 4k with the 8gb vram

a gtx 970 is also a good card but only has 3.5 gb of usable vram and performance drops when you hit the last .5 gb and i dont think the 970 can handle 1440 as good as the 390.

i would also wait for the polarias and pascale gpus to be releaced because the 300 series and fury prices will likely drop or you could get a newer flagship card and have better future proofing

cpu is not necessary to oc skylake is good archatecture and if you have a stock cooler then you wont get anything from it but i can aid in performance a bit.

if it was me i would just because i love to oc as a hobby but for what you do with it it doesnt need done
