Battlefield 4 System Requirements revealed.

Bloop

The Battlefield 4 system requirements were released today (here http://imgur.com/B9ifOVN) I just wanted some opinions on the recommended GPU memory of 3gbs, my PC has a 2gb 770, i5 4670, 8gb of Corsair Vengeance RAM,  looking to run the game on ultra, at 60 fps, you guys think I will be able to? Anyway, that's all, thanks. :)

3gb of vram?

That's a pretty unexpected number

Lucky I got myself 4 lol.

Everything else was expected, should run just fine for me.

-.- My 660 only has 1.5GB of Vram... :(

I like the color scheme of Noctua fans. Deal with it. Forget about the bad memories of the past.

What makes you say that? The recommended is a 7870.

A 660 being recommended along with 3gb vram doesn't make any sense in my head.

That's what I was thinking lol!

That probably wont be recommended for ultra at 60fps

Yep, the 'Recommended" GPU's are the GTX660 and HD7870, these come in 2GB VRAM flavors only, wonder how the heck they would recommend them and stipulate 3GB VRAM as well. If that were the case, even my SLi'd GTX670 cannot max it out....

I have a feeling that the 3GB VRAM is an over assumption on DICE's part, I don't think in-game it will use as much as 3GB's, although I could be wrong. Wishful thinking?

If that's true then 7970/7950 owners could potentially further justify their choice over 2GB 600 series Nvidia cards.

It will also be interesting to see the reaction from 256bit 4GB VRAM nay sayers, and also the actual comparisons between 2GB, 3GB and 4GB card setups.

Or they can just turn down the AA.

I agree to this since most people with high end cards are running at 1920x1080 or higher, AA is just not needed at that resolution IMO.

BF3 uses almost 2GB at ultra so yeah it will use more than 2 GB.

Didn't they recommend 2 monitors for commander mode? Maybe the 3gb VRAM requirement is taking into account the extra monitor.
