Adding gain will always introduce noise, perhaps turn on or off active noise cancelling (if available)

make sure the windows recording volume is up and in whatever software you are using too

It might be EMI from the computer itself, if you're using a desktop try plugging your headset into the back of your computer and see if there's a difference.
