Hello, I am in the midst of finishing my home NAS (freenas), and I have an issue.

I would like to directly connect the Nas (via its two intel gigabit ports) to my pc (with its two intel gigabit ports) to more quickly move data across my network (I have almost 3TB of data I need to move onto this nas).

I was wondering if anyone had tips/directions on how to set this up via shell or otherwise. I tried some basic stuff with static ips, but it doesn't seem to be working.

Otherwise, if anyone knows how to diagnose the issue I am currently having with my Netgear N600 (WNR3700) connection (PC->Router->NAS) yielding 7Mb/s (not MB) writes (which obviously would literally take forever with my data) that would be cool. Everything else looks ok, and I connect to the internet with more than that speed both ways anyway so it seems to be a switching issue or something.
