USB 3.0 Spliter

silver_tounge

hey

i have a gigabyte GA-Z97X-Gaming 7 motherboard that only has one USB 3.0 header.

I want to know if using a USB 3.0 header splitter (to add more front panel USB 3.0) such as the one from moddiy.com

http://www.moddiy.com/products/20%252dPin-USB-3.0-Internal-Header-Y-Splitter-Cable-%2812cm%29.html

if this is not a good idea please suggest other options other than upgrading the motherboard.

thanks in advance

I don't think they'll work. Internal USB headers physically and electrically only support two physical USB 3.0 ports. If you have the money, pick one up and try it. I'm interested in seeing if it'll work.
