Storage is crazy

I was looking up how many GBs in a TB and came across this website can you image having a domegemegrottebyte of storage (909494701772928200000 TBs yes Terabytes!) like i can only just get my head around having a PC with 3tb and a Nas with 40TB aand even then im not even using 70% of the space i have now this stuff is crazy other than for a data centre i cant see a real reason why anyone would ever need a domegemegrottebyte of space thats like enough to store every movie song and game from 1920-2278!

Trust me, some day that kind of storage will be needed. I remember when 10GB HDD's were crazy, the 40GB, then 160GB, then 500GB... lol

yeah i used to edit video on a 1st gen iMac (ugh mac i know) and would have to edit about 30 minutes at a time before wipe the whole computer to put more footage on

It's not that impressive... Really we as a race should be further by now.

I believe that the entire data created by humanity (books, Plays, shows, games) all that is estimated at like 6 yottabytes(even that might be over shooting it). I don't think we will need a  domegemegrottebyte for at least another 200 years.

 

You know how it is, the cow goes "moo", the dog goes "woof" and the gamer goes "The PvP is unbalanced."

That's not even remotely the point. Lets try again then: The point is that as a race we should have already passed this point by now. Moreover any given number can always be exceed. We could imagine storage running into n Googleplex for instance.

I don't really store my porn really, only the best, I have a 16GB micro SD card and that does a good enough job for me
