diy backplate (perspex)

using perspex or some thing like this (not metal because price and shorting of the gpu) so would it be possable, i have seen a guy do it with a metal one and it looked really nice so would i just be best of following his directions but do it with the perspex, if any one can help it would be highly help i will also have an alot of build loging to do with the amount of questions i am asking

Seems like a good idea. You could try using a coloured piece of perspex or put a film over it and maybe find some why to hide some LEDs in.

when drilling your holes punch them first and use a blunt drill bit it shouldn't move around then, I would stick away from steel since if you contact the back in the wrong place you might just end up with a fancy cup coaster.

or you could make a double layer backplate. have a perspex layer, and then a steel/ally layer on top, maybe put some led's to light up perspex

 thanks for the reply's i was thinking of doing red perspex but the led's inside or near it might just have to steal that one from you buddy once again thanks and a build log should be close
