It is all of the ethernet ports and when connecting to my modem direclty pc or my mothers thin client, it just doesn't work. Don't know why. I went and bought a new router so she can get on right now and work w.o getting some time of punishment or w.e but i'm just curious if something on the board fried or what.

Hmh, I'd guess that something indeed got fried if the same cables are working fine on the new router. Might've be some cheap-o power brick overvolting the router or something.

I'd say just remove the casing and see what broke if you're not planning to return it. :P

Yeah, it's around 2 years old so not that old but past the returning point, even netgear's site doesn't provide "Help" unless you have bought it within 90 days or have some premium thing. Pretty bad customer service if you ask me. The bad router is a WNR 1000, the new one I got is a Linksys E2500.

Can you plug a computer in by ethernet, then open a command prompt and type "ipconfig /all" then screen shot and post the results.
