Hello ! So , randomly , when i'm gaming , either with the card overclocked or stock , the screen turns a solid color ( usually brownish ) , and sometimes i can even hear everything , even my friends with which i was skyping , and they can hear me too. This is most definitely the graphics card at fault ( i've changed the WHOLE system , and it only happens in games , too ) . The card is a gtx 980 from asus , highest temperature i've seen it hit was 72C/161F degrees , but given that most of the time i get it on league of legends with the card at around 45 degrees celsius , it's not overheating. It's been bothering me for a while , so can someone please tell me why is it happening ? To note is that it can happen 3+ times in one day , or it can happen 0 times in one whole week.

Download older drivers until it doesn't crash anymore. I had the same problem and that worked for me until they released new drivers

Thanks for the idea , but it has been doing this from june 2015 , so i don't think drivers are the problem . Anyways , could you tell me what driver did you use ?

Well me telling you the drivers wouldn't help as that i had the problem with and AMD card and not an Nvidia card. IF you havent changed your drivers in a while i would stongly advise you to play around with different versions and try to find one that is stable.

Oh . Well , i always update to the newest drivers. Searched around the internet and some people with the same symptoms say it's a PSU problem. I have a 750W bronze rated corsair . Might it be failing ? Before this 980 ( which uses up to 400W , weird limited edition special for overclocking or whatever ) , i had a gtx 680 in it.
