AP Help needed

So i got my hands on this cisco AP (Model Number AIR-AP1242AG-E-K9)
The Problem Im having is deciding if it would be worth getting a POE adapter for it. Does anyone here know if they have good range and performance. Or just general information about them.
All help is very apretitated.
