Ionizer Question

I have a sunbeam hepa filter with a optional ionizer in it, however, considering i lost the manual, i do not know wether the ionizer is on or off.

My question is, is an ionizer harmful to electrical components such as a PC?

Ive read that they are also harmful to humans so if this is true, i might just not use it, however my room is dusty so what should i do?

If it's a true ionizer that creates ozone you wouldn't want it on all the time since large amounts of ozone can have negative health effects but shouldn't affect electronics.

Dust your room.

I use one in my repair shop and I love it, keeps the air clean, just wipe down your surfaces to keep the dust out!

I don't seem to have any problems from using the Ionizer, and I have computers all around it and have had no problems.

Ain't it just the cutest little signature.

Some would argue it is the cutest little signature ever.

when you say dust my room, do you mean like a feather duster?

how long were you exposed to the ionizer? i read that after 8 hours of the "ozone" given off, it can harm someone.

8 hours a day, 6 days a week...

I dust with a microfiber cloth moist with 97% isopropyl rubbing alcohol.
