Should I just buy a different CPU and motherboard and have the other components installed onto it?

i mean you can just get a gtx 960 and be good.

Hello, I currently have a HP Pavillion 530, and was wondering what cpu and gpu upgrades I could get. Do I really need a new CPU? As a GPU I was thinking of a http://www.amazon.ca/Gigabyte-GDDR5-Overclocked-Graphics-GV-R938WF2OC-2GD/dp/B00ZGF3ULK/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1455321832&sr=8-2&keywords=amd+radeon+r9+380, I have a motherboard in mind and a psu in mind aswell. Please leave your suggestions.

say 400$? Game. Canada

you could easily keep the cpu no problem. I would advise getting a new gpu and possibly and ssd. What power supply do you have and what wattage?

but yes you'd need a new CPU if you get that GPU otherwise it will be a bad bottleneck

For that GPU what CPU should I get?, and if I don't upgrade my CPU what GPU should I get to have games like Arma 3 run well(30-40fps on low)

The a 10 you have is basically an atlon x4 860, which is fine for mid range pc gaming,  and should be fine with the 960.

I usually recommend the 380 over the 960, but using an amd cpu with an amd gpu isn't a great idea,  thanks to the cpu overhead.

would the motherboard only support APU's?

it all depends on the socket. since your cpu (apu) is a A10 and an A10 is a FM2+ socket that means your motherboard is a FM2+ socket/ so the best you can get is a 860K and thats pretty much the same just your apu has onboard graphics and the 860k does not.
