Using a headphone with separate mic and audio jacks on PS4 (DS4) ?

hey guys...
i want to ask can i run a headphone with a separate mic and audio jacks like logetich g230 with a 3.5 mm splitter  like this ? 
with it can i use the mic and hear the audio from the Dual Shock 4 ?

wait, sorry there are mixed reviews for the ps4 you might have to do some research.
