Upgrading Alienware x51

hey whats up everyone I just have a quick question. a while back I bought an Alienware X 51 revision 1 which has an i3 3220 6 gigs of ram a GTX 645 and a 180 watt power supply. right now I'm wanting to upgrade it a little bit for a fun little projectand I was wondering if I got the Alienware x51 330 watt power supply would that be enough for the Evga GTX 950 sc?

I am going to assume, no. If you are gaming, never get anything less than 500, just a rule of thumb.

330W is more than enough and since Alienware is owned by Dell it'll likely have a decent Delta PSU or maybe even something better in it.

Not always the case. It all depends on the component inside the system. 

 

Heck I know a friend of mine with an Alienware X51 that has a 4790, 16gb of RAM, and a 760 Ti and it all works fine with a 330watt External PSU.
