Are there any books or something about PC repair? I want to pick up some techniques and learn some stuff.

Not the easy stuff like replace a CPU or something, like how to get data off a corrupt HDD. More advanced stuff.

Books about hardware are often outdated, it evolves so fast .. hard to keep up with the new technologies and methods. The best guide is Google/Youtube, just search for what you want to know and you'll find something updated. I've read quite a few books about hardware (and software), and at the speed things go, once you're done reading what you learned doesn't even apply anymore. =P

Other than Youtube and Google, here and probably OCN.

As stated before technology evolves far too fast for there to be a book of much relevance. Up to date A+ cert material might be informative.
