Hi all.

I told my dad that I would fix up his old Windows Vista laptop with Windows 7 so he could play some games in case his failing HP laptop dies on him.

I have installed his games but he asked me to get Minecraft working for my little sister if she has friends over so my dad can still play his games at the same time.

I have gotten the install working but in Minecraft once I click play on the launcher screen, it launches and then brings up a new window. It stays black and does nothing.

I'm not sure if it has something to do with 32-bit Windows being installed (the laptop's processor is only a 32-bit processor) but it also hasn't been updated by Windows Update either.

Please, someone, I'm lost as to how to fix this. My dad would like the laptop back soon as well.
