The VAT on electronics? You mean The Value Added Tax in the UK? There shouldn't be any. I believe there's the state/local tax and the federal tax, similar to what Canada has. And that's it.

And it varies depending on where you live.

We have no actual Value Added Tax here in the US.

(thankfully. Because that system just looks like a way for corporations to dodge paying taxes. Which yeah, they already do in both the US and the UK, and most of the rest of the world)

VAT was proposed back in the 1960s for the states, but never happened.

We have property tax, tax from working/earnings, and sales tax in most states.  Sales tax is probably the closest thing you'd find of it.  In Maryland, it was 5% up until about 2007 then went up by 1%.  I was in Walmart by DMC 4 for 360, and saw 6% on there.  Almost decked the sales clerk.  However, depending on the state, there's limitation to what can be taxed.  For example, in my state, there's no sales tax on food and drinks unless it's junk food from a convenience store, or like booze or tobacco.  In some states, there's no sales tax on clothing.

Oke!
Thank you! :D Though Rest In Peperinos the 25% VAT here in Sweden... Cri wih m3, plesh! :(

... I would love to only pay 6% tax. We pay a little under 15% on everything(except food and a few other things like women sanitary stuff...) in Quebec.
