Hey guys, I was thinking about modding a keyboard with o rings to reduce the sound of the keystroke bottoming out. I don't really want to effect the travel distance, just the sound. I did some research on them, but they have different ratings and colors and what not. Does anyone have any experience with this mod who can tell me which ones to get? Again I want one that will just reduce the sound not so much the travel distance and feel. Thanks so much!

I don't know too much about the exact oring that would suit that specific need but in general the main things you want to look out for are the durometer or hardness of the rubber or silicone of the oring and thickness. WASD keyboards has a good information on it:
