As someone who uses both (Eclipse for FRC programming and IntelliJ for everything else) I would say that IntelliJ is far superior. Has much better integration with VCS, better autocomplete, better suggestions, error checking doesn't require you to re-save your file to get it re-checked... I could go on, but I think you get the point. Eclipse is a great piece of freeware, but it really does have some pitfalls and feels very unpolished in some regards.

 

If you have access to IntelliJ I would highly suggest switching :)

Alright, I'd probably just be using the free version but at the moment that seems to have everything I need and it looks really cool too. Thanks!
