Instead of getting two 970's I'd probably get just one 980 Ti for a bit less and then upgrade later if you need to. The 970's also have only 4gb VRAM (actually a bit less) which makes them not so good for high resolutions.

only be using 1080p monitors and never upgrading to higher resolutions until console get up to those resolutions. (be useing the monitors also for my ps4)
