What am I better off doing and would it work?

JoshPC

So in about two weeks by birthday is coming up, and with the comes birthday money.

for example if I where to get about $240 (this may or may not happen)

The  i5-4460 is $270 Australian dollars.

The graphics card I wants is a GTX960 2gb for about $270 as well

The GTX 970 2gb however is about $330

am I better off savint up a bit more the get a good CPU (better the the original i3 I was planning to get)

or getting the GTX 970?

drawbacks:

if I get the GTX 970 I would have to get the i3, would that work?

if I get a good CPU I would most likely get the 960

my final idea was to get an i3 and a gtx 960 4gb

please leave suggestions an ideas.

The i5 and GTX 960 would be my choice.

But the R9 380 would be the better buy.
