---POLL DESCRIPTION---

:P*In Comic Sans >:):P

This is a more detailed version of the previous poll, which is to find out what the community uses...

*Make sure that if you choose an option, there might be another specification like refresh rate or something along with it,

Ex:

  • 60Hz           (selected)
  • 1920x1080 (not selected)

FAQ:

Q: What if I use multiple computers?

A: You can pick one of them to vote, preferably the most powerful.

Q: Why is [#x# resolution] not on the list?

A: I checked many places about the most popular resolutions, and if yours is not on the list, just select "Other"

Q: Why is [CPU type] not on the list?

A: If it is not on, just choose "Other"

Eventually, I will post total ending poll results to see what LTT forum members have in common.*

*Thanks to staff member airdeano, the old poll was linked to this one and closed ;).

Note:

This is not meant to be some fanboy page about which is better, this poll is to let us see what the general community owns and uses in their PCs.

  Please do not:

-Comment about which brands are better than others, which is also a community guideline - So follow it. (You can comment about other stuff though, as long as it does not start a flame war. :)

  thanks :)

*UPDATE!

At 283 votes, the results are in:

Most used parts:

CPU Series: Intel i5

GPU: GTX 970

RAM: 16GB DDR3

Monitor: Single 1080p 60Hz Desktop Monitor

Total HDD Space: 1TB from 2 Drives combined

#CPU Cores: Quad Core, At either 3.5GHz(Most popular) or 4GHz(Really close second)

Watercooling: Most people do not watercool, except about half of the people owned an AIO CPU cooler.

LEDs: No LEDs

MOBO Size: ATX

PC Aspect: Performance, with a close second being silence

Was this surprising to you? If you have one of these parts or series, please reply below stating what model it is, such as the"i5 xxxxK"

;)

Note: Results could change over time.

Why is the i7-5960X on this list, and not the i7-5820k? You discriminating bastard!

(I voted Intel i7 anyways.)

i found it funny as well since that is technically under the i7 series, probably would have been more fair if he named the type of cpu ex Haswell, skylake etc

Why no ultrawide resolutions?

There is an option for other resolutions... I would add them if I could put more than 20 options per question.

1. For harddrives, I included SSD's.  You may want to clear that up, is it storage space or HDD's only?

2. For clock speed, I used my load speed. who cares about idle speeds?  I'd change it or add another question for load speeds as they are more important in most cases.

3. Might want to include an indicator for SLI or Crossfire as that is a pretty big difference.

1. Fixed Harddrive / Space to Total Harddrive Space

2. It simply means without a Turbo mode option, like in a game... Otherwise it would fluctuate frequently.

3. If i had more than 10Qs, I would question SLI, but for now, I am just seeing what GPUs people own.

I was on TomsHW before LTT, and got banned because they thought my build was fake.
