So all of a sudden, my GPU (R9 270x) has been acting up, while playing GTA V I was only getting about 20 FPS, I adjusted the settings and still no improvement. My memory clock will be maxed out however my core clock will only be at 450mhz ( tested in CAM and radeon settings), played Rocket League as well and same thing. I have changed nothing in my system except the cabling (previously running GPU of molex now of psu directly). I managed to get the clock speed to max out at 1070 however again in cam and radeon settings my GPU is only being used about 20-30% and my FPS at 20-30. Any Ideas?

Change the cable back to whatever moles it was before and retest your games.

You may have a faulty power cable or socket if it changes performance.

Otherwise try clean installing your graphics drivers and restarting your PC - it may have set itself into some kind of safe mode without you realising.

Thing is, while its not running off 2 molex powers anymore, its running off the same port off the PSU, I have restarted my PC and even looked in the BIOS to see if anything has happened in there, nothing, as for drivers, the last time it didnt go to well (my pc=dead)
