When I had similar specs to you I picked up some more RAM to make a total of 16. The reason is because DDR3 RAM is still cheap and games are starting to push the 8 GB boundary. That way if you find yourself needing that 16 GB in the future you won't be forced upgrade to a DDR4 platform or pay out the nose for DDR3 which will be obsolete.

DDR3 1066/1333/1600 MHz
Almost any modern DDR3 will run at 1600.
Your motherboard is dual channel so you'll want 2 sticks if you can. How many sticks of RAM do you have right now?

So either get two 4 GB sticks or buy two 8 GB sticks and sell your current RAM. The second one is what I did because RAM is pretty easy to sell in my area.
