Ultrabook with Thunderbolt

Hi everyone, I'm in need of suggestions for a new laptop/ultrabook.

The use would be mainly for work purposes while on the move, like video editing and colour correction. I come from a 2011 MacBook Pro 15", mostly because of Thunderbolt since in my line of work is widely used, but although I've always enjoyed my experience with it, it's time to upgrade to something new.

What I'm looking for is along these lines:

  • Screen: 15" IPS Full HD (can be higher resolution, but not necessary)
  • Thunderbolt: any version, but TB 3 with USB-C connector preferred for future proofing
  • SSD: 256 or 512GB
  • CPU: enough to sustain the occasional video editing and colour correction work I cannot do on my workstation
  • VGA: I'm not planning on gaming, but something like a GTX 960M will be the bare minimum anyway
  • RAM: 8 or 16GB

Now, I already looked into the ASUS UX501W and the Dell XPS 15, but I was wondering if there's anything else out there you would recommend, my Google research returned mixed opinions on the matter.

Thanks to all.
