Vermintide is a 4-player coop game in the style of Left 4 Dead. I think it is pretty good. Keep in mind it is a budget title, and I think it's a very good value one. I don't think that the budget cost is reflected in the quality of the level and gameplay design, but in there being a lesser amount of content. I think there are something like 12 or 16 missions, and some are small and short, while others are long. The game is difficult depending on your equipment level - which can be slotted with power ups.

I think the gameplay is a little more limited than L4D2, but the art and atmosphere is pretty awesome. Also, the game has received several quality free updates that have improved and refined features. It is also getting additional map DLC, though that will have to be paid for. There is rumour that the game might receive a Versus mode, like L4D has.

For me, the game has had less replayability than L4D, but that's not to say that I didn't get my money's worth out of it already. And there are people with huge number of hours on the game, compared to mine. I also find it worth playing just for cool art and atmosphere.

If you think it looks interesting, you'll probably enjoy it enough to get what you want out of it. Players will expect you to learn how to play tactically together with them, and you'll probably get some flak if you run off on your own and get killed, because one player going down greatly affects the whole team - and a lot of people are playing the higher difficulty levels to farm good loot, which is dependent upon completing the missions successfully. And the missions can get very difficult depending on team cooperation, what gear players have equipped, and familiarity with the levels. Lower difficulty levels are not very difficult though, and can be downright easy.
