I want to replace my old coolit eco now, I am just getting too worried it might break, or worse even leak, so I want to find a new cooler for my CPU.

I already have a noctua NF-F12 on my coolit eco, I want to use that with my new cooler too, which is why I'm not going for a dark rock 2 or something with a good fan.

The two coolers from the title are priced like this:

212 evo: 27,23€ (http://www.hardwareversand.de/articledetail.jsp?aid=59387&agid=669&pvid=5cxgvop43_hlavdzgl&ref=15)

412 S    : 30,58€ (http://www.hardwareversand.de/Intel+AMD/59388/Cooler+Master+Hyper+412S+-+Intel+AMD.article)

From the pictues it seems like the 412S is thicker(specifications of coolermaster say it's 7cm, the 212 only 5,8cm I think) and I also don't like the asthetic of exposed copper, so the 412 S with it's all silvery looking exterior is sexier imo.

Have you heard anything bad about the 412 S or is it a safe buy?

Remember, I will use an NF-F12 with it anyway, so you can leave the fan out of the discussion.

It should have enough clearance for my memory (Corsair Vengeance non-low-profile) since it is only a single tower right?

Both are very good coolers for the price.

Get which ever you like better, the margins are so low it doesn't matter.

The 412s is better by like 2c, which is small enough to not even take into consideration.

I would go with the 412S since you will be replacing the stock fan with the NF-F12. You would only be able to use one fan as the other fan that is on the ram side would have clearance issues:

I have it now and installed it, I almost couldn't install it, because with AMD cpu's it's meant to be installed so the fans pushes air up, not sideways, but I managed to get the retention thing in there, my temps are a bit lower than before actually ^^
