Wow it's nice to see someone else on these forums that knows GPU Boost is shit for anyone wanting to overclock, at least with its default configuration.

My solution was to simply enable K-Boost whenever I game, I prefer my clocks to never dynamically change when I'm playing a game, I want maximum performance at all times.

I also use a modded BIOS simply because it allows you to overclock a bit further if configured correctly.

Props to Monarch for being so informative and helpful. These forums would be a lot better with more people like him.

I was expecting a bunch of idiotic and useless suggestions after reading the first post since it's not a super simple problem, was pleasantly surprised.

Yeah, i actually can't express how thankful I am to have monarch help me. This was the most help i've ever recieved in this forum and also the most thorough person I've talked to. Ultra kudos to you, @Monarch!

Also on a sidenote, I would also use KBoost but one time I tried precisionX... I did not ever want to go back to it... so AB it is.

BRRRT!

Well, I've moved all the voltage tables so that starting from CLK 35, it's using the voltage range that's roughly 10 clock states above it because that's about what my +132 MHZ core clock corresponds to and I finally ran Firestrike with that OC properly! I am going to test it again because I am still kinda skeptical with the stability and also, I did recieve a really weird result for the score, I got a really low score of only 13070 graphics score when I normally should get 13900+. Also, the driver was not approved because I am using the new drivers for the "eject Nvidia GPU" hotfix which is 361.82.

EDIT: I was being a derp and I still had shadowplay on which decreased the performance by a little bit. A BIG THANK YOU TO YOU!

You're welcome. Crashes at loading screens should be gone now forever. I had the same issue and this is how I solved it. Some people over at OCN tried it and they successfully fixed it to. So it has to work.

Thanks. Most people are unaware of this problem. I'm glad I was able to be a sort of higher level tech support this time, cause sometimes I'm level/tier 1 too :)

I used to hear how good Maxwell cards are at overclocking, so I got one and discovered there's a catch. I was going to do the same thing you did or disable GPU boost, but then I realized it's actually a good thing in general. Now I still get maximum performance when needed, no more throttling. But it also downclocks and downvolts when maximum performance isn't needed. Like in non demanding games, or at loading screens. Works perfectly.
