Good mic for £30 or not?

It would be better to just save the extra 15-20 bucks and get a blue snowball instead. It sounds great and is build like a tank.

Hello I am looking for a mic for content creation with a stand. I have came across BM800 which is £20 but £10 for a stand also, seems to be quite a nice mic for the money. But would I need any extra accessory's?

e.g. Phantom Power 48V ±4V because I have seen people use a external sound card and getting just as good quality with out the phantom power.

BM800:

My external sound card is:

Btw any advice is appreciated

and thank you for your time :D

It's hard to tell without hearing the audio quality of the mic. For you budget I would go for the Blue Snowflake which already comes with a stand and is a reputable brand - the audio on this mic isn't too bad either.

Unless of course you are looking for a 3.5mm mic to use specifically for some reason -- the external audio card isn't going to make a HUGE difference in the quality of any mic you buy - especially when it is just a cheaper $10 (U.S.) one. Which is why I chose the Blue Snowflake USB mic.

The Snowball is 110-120 ish U.S. which would translate to about 30-40 more pounds.

no I just looked it up on the amazon uk store and the blue snowball is selling for 45$ UK.
