It's time to upgrade my peripherals (keyboard and mouse mostly). Just upgraded my sound and headset. Time for the things I use most.

I would like a mechanical keyboard (pref with cherry mx blue switches), some sort of programmable macro keys, and wireless capabilities if possible. The rest would be extra and non essential.

For the mouse, I have narrowed it down to the Logitech G502 and the G602. Other than the wireless capabilities,  I do not know the difference. Can anyone elaborate on the differences?

Suggestions? Would be used primarily for photo and video editing, as well as the occasional gaming session.

The G602 has more buttons than the G502, and it's wireless. I think it's heavier, too. If you're playing FPS I'd recommend the G502. The G502 also has a better sensor and higher polling rate + higher DPI.

As for keyboard, you can get the G710 which uses MX Blue switches, and it's very cheap. Or, you could go more expensive, with something like a K70/RGB. Cooler Master also has good offerings, Das Keyboards are good from what I hear, and I love my Ducky keyboard, the Shine 5 (MX Blue variant is in stock on mechanicalkeyboards.com)

I just bought the G502 Proteus Spctrum RGB (coming from deathadder 2013) and I was impressed.

The G602 has a much simpler, but potentially less comfortable button layout. It also looks much less cool.

As for keyboard, Corsair K70 or Razer blackwidow Chroma are both good options. (the BW isnt Cherry MX, but the wsitched feel very similar to blues. )

As for wireless keyboards... you're outta luck with mechanical AND RGB AND programmable switches with that. :/

Logitech G710 (non Plus) has Cherry MX Blue switches

The G502 has a more superior sensor (PixArt PMW3366) + weight tuning, meanwhile the G602 is wireless with a pretty good optical sensor (AM010 I believe ?)

I agree that Zowie mice and the DeathAdder might be better for most people, but personally I feel the weight isn't that big of an issue, once you get used to it. :P

It's very "light" with no weights (121g, I hate featherweight mice) I even put a weight in to account for my 1350 DPI gaming (1.83 sens in CS:GO.) It's a very, very nice mouse. It has lots of buttons, a great sensor (though many mice share it,) 3 on-mouse profiles, MACROS that work in CS:GO (sorry Razer!) and I love the shape. Even the scrollwheel is my favorite. I hate the Deathadder, it's really uncomfortable for me, and Zowie is good, but I've never used it.

I recommend what I know, and what countless other people like (Even Hardware Canucks put it in his top 5 gaming mice of 2015, next to some great contenders.) Linus likes it, people in the office use it, millions of others use it. It's a very popular mouse for a reason.

Pros don't use it doesn't mean it's a bad mouse or anything like that.
FPI ? Get your typing correctly mate.
I'm not even using that high sensitivity.
I see that you don't like the mouse, but of course it doesn't mean you can force others to hate it, kay ?
Me and somebody else just want to show the good point of it.

Just sharing opinions, don't enforce people like they have to obey you like an elder.

No, I don't see it like that. I enjoyed that mouse and I feel comfortable recommending it to others.

Again, just sharing opinions, don't brag about that like you're so damn right that people have to listen to you.
Cheers :)

P/S: I see you have almost 2k posts on this forum, so at least you understand the fact that if you respect other's opinion, then they will respect yours. That's all

^^ FTFY

I don't get why people criticize sensitivity, it works for me. I already do good. I don't move my mouse much. Matter of fact, most of the time my wrist is planted right on the desk as only my hand and the mouse moves. I can't stand trying to drag my mouse across my mousemat trying to turn.

Also, just because pros don't use it doesn't mean it's good. Most CS pros use the same mouse, and it's a very simple mouse. I use extra buttons for things like TS, the sniper button in non-FPS games, ect- pros don't do that.

Also, I would like for you to speak proper English if you're trying to prove a point. lol !

My next choice would've been the DAS keyboards (heard nothing, but great things about them), but theyre expensive. I will check out the g710 when I get a chance. Maybe it'll suit my needs.

I don't know of any in-stock wireless mech keyboards. The G602 is a good wireless mouse, so I'd recommend it if you want wireless. I'm sure there's better ones, though.

The G710 uses MX Blue, the G710+ uses MX Brown. Both are on the cheaper side, have 6 macro keys each, and have white backlighting. Look 'em up to see if you would like either.

Sad that there aren't that many wireless mechanical keyboards out there
