1000W PSU - Overkill?

Just upgraded my system but still using my old psu and would like to upgrade - no budget really but don't want to waste it on something i don't need

Current PSU - Thermaltake Toughpower 850W

Current System:

Core i5 6600K o/c to 4.7K mhz

 Z170A Motherboard

Kinston Savage 3000Mhz DDR4 4gb x 4

Zalman CNPS9900A Cooler

2 x SSD

4 x SATA HDD

2 x GTX970 - SLI o/c to 1250mhz base clock

6 x Case Fans 120mm

Checked on the calculator on outervision.com and it suggested 750W psu

Looking to get the Antec HCP-1000 Platinum.

Should I stick with my old psu, get the Antec or look at something in the 750-850W range?

850w is fine, no need to upgrade

Erm... if it works, don't change it? Unless you see an issue with your current psu, I don't really see a reason to upgrade it.

Thanks for reply! was just worried about all this talk of amps needed on 12v rails and power ripple and so forth that the current psu was not sufficient

650W is the recommended amount for dual 970s so think of that what you will.

You're fine to power 4 970s without overclocks so I'd just not worry about it.
